Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2004 implemented (England and Wales only)

 

In England and Wales, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order will replace the existing fire safety legislation - the 1971 Fire Precautions Act and the Fire Precautions Workplace Regulations 1997.  Fire certificates will no longer be issued.  Employers will be responsible for assess-ing the risks of fire and taking steps to reduce or remove them.
